Job Description:
The maestro who keeps everything in line. A quality kitchen manager has great leadership & communication skills, a willingness to learn and grow, and take accountability for the operation of the kitchen. A kitchen manager needs to be running tight with their General Manager and support their kitchen staff in any way possible.
Job Responsibilities:
The maestro who keeps everything in line. A quality kitchen manager has great leadership & communication skills, a willingness to learn and grow, and take accountability for the operation of the kitchen. A kitchen manager needs to be running tight with their General Manager and support their kitchen staff in any way possible.
Job Responsibilities:
- food ordering/quality check upon arrival
- communication with various vendors
- managing labor/food budgets
- following up with kitchen staff to make sure job requirements are met
- communication of any items needed for kitchen staff to complete their job duties
- catering/event planning
- support of line cooks/sushi team/prep team (filling in/helping where needed)
- BOH scheduling
- Hiring of BOH team
- must know all stations throughly
- quality, team-serving leadership that keeps the culture of teamwork & high standards in place
- leading by example
Job Qualifications:
- at least 3 years in kitchen management role required
- basic technology skills required (for scheduling, managing labor/food costs, ordering, etc)
- must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- teamwork & communication are a MUST
